There are not too many animals in the hot and dry desert because of the hot sun
and the hot heat as well. Mostly the only time animals come out of their burrow
holes or out from under their rocks is at night. Most of the animals are small nocturnal carnivores. Insects, arachnid, reptiles
and birds are basically what this desert consists of. Also, most of the animals
are able to blend in with their surroundings to stay safe from their enemies.

The temperature ranges in a hot and dry desert from about 20 to 25 degrees
celcius and the maximun temperatures can range from 43 to 49 degrees
celcius, which is 120 degrees farenheit! Also, the minimum temperatures can drop
down to about -20 degrees celcius!
There is very little rainfall in these types of deserts and if there is
any, it's a little rain when
there has been a long period of time where there has been no rain at all.
The average amount of rainfall is under 15cm in a year. It is usually
warm in fall and spring and very hot during the summer.
