In deserts there are not usually a lot of plants or vegetation, but in a hot and dry desert there is especially not a lot of plants or vegetation. Here's a few that there are though: Turpentine Bush, Prickly Pear, and Brittle Bush. Most of the plants in hot and dry deserts grow close to the ground and the soils are shallow, gravely, and have no surface water because of the good drainage through the gravel. A lot of adaptions are made as well too because the plants have to learn over time to store water to stay alive. Storing water can add to the high nutrients in the plants leaves.
